"Collaborative Commerce" is another e-commerce tool which is blurring
the lines between conventional organizations. Rather than focusing on
transactions, collaborative commerce embraces information sharing
through all parts of the relationship—made possible because of the
Internet. Our last article this week explains it more thoroughly.

Our final article this week, "Can Amazon Make It?", discusses the
recent Wall Street flap about Amazon.Com’s future. Which financial
models of the business models are appropriate? Cash flow or earnings?
Dot.Com or retailing? If Amazon.Com can’t make it, what about all of
the other companies with similar business models?

Several viewpoints are included. Just asking these questions will
focus awareness on the issues. The next year or two should give us
data to validate or annul some of the theories. [DLJ]
