Your "Board of Directors"

Purpose

The Northern Illinois Business Roundtable consists of Chicago area consultants, professionals and small business owners who meet monthly to network, hear speakers provide information on topical issues, and exchange ideas to assist each other in their ongoing or special needs.

Meeting Format

The session starts with networking, followed by a full breakfast, as our speaker for the day presents a topic of general interest to members. Attendees then break into roundtable groups of 5 or 6, representing various consulting and business disciplines. Each person is given 10 minutes, 5 to introduce their business and present an issue/problem they are having, and the remaining 5 to be used by their table partners to respond with suggestions. Table members effectively act as a "Board of Directors" for each other.

Logistics

Meetings are held the Second Saturday of each month, year around. A typical meeting is structured as below:

7:30 - 8:00 am - registration/networking
8:00 - 8:30 am - breakfast
8:00 - 9:15 am - speaker presentation
9:15 - 10:30 am - roundtable sessions

Notice: Guests are retained on the mailing list for six months after attending a meeting.

Costs :

Members and guests for their first meeting: $ 20.00; All others: $ 25; Membership: $ 49.00 per year. Note: Please make all checks payable to "EMBA."

From South -- I-294 N to Willow Road - West. Turn left at Sanders Rd. (first stop light) to Milwaukee Ave, (approx. 1 mile) Hotel on right approx. 1 mile.

From North -- I-294 S to Willow Road - West. Turn left at Sanders Rd. (first stop light) to Milwaukee Ave, (approx. 1 mile) Hotel on right approx. 1 mile.

From Downtown -- I-94 (Edens Expressway) north to Lake Avenue - Exit West - Take to Milwaukee Ave. (approx. 6 miles) - Left on Milwaukee to Hotel (approx. ½ mile).

To reserve space, call 847-272-2884 or mail the form provided below. Reservations and business cards must be received no later than noon on Thursday to be included on the business card handout and distributed at the meeting. No shows will be billed.
