Site Re-designer Found... and Graduated

Bill Stocking, developer of this site, has done all the work on it since 1996 and he felt it was time for new ideas from an outside source.

We looked at the work of a number of web artists and print graphic artists and for the most part we were disappointed. Several had good artistic skills, but none really understood the development requirements for a standards based, website with hundreds of pages.

Finally, we were approached by Erin Bender, a third year graphics arts student at Maryland Institute College of Art, (one of the top art schools in the country), who had seen our want-ad on the site. We were initially skeptical, but after she submitted a couple of samples of re-design ideas, we were convinced she was the right person for the job.

That was a couple of years ago. Erin has since graduated, moved to Austin Tx and works for a prestigious design firm. Her spare time is taken up by outside multi-media and website projects. Real talent is always in demand!
